About Badminton Place

We have designed Badminton Place to accommodate residents over three floors in wonderfully light environments with different aspects from every corner. All centred upon the stunning Westbury bar & bistro.

The usual Berkley Care Group blend of open space and stunning interior design is on display everywhere at this new Bristol home and they combine to bring a feeling of modern luxury twinned with homely charm. There is something on every floor to engage and excite our residents, and outside space is not only plentiful but even covers two floors, with superb glass-fronted balconies affording everyone the opportunity to sit outdoors and soak up the sun – when it’s out, of course!

  • Motivated Team of Caring People: Having a stunning building with all the luxury in the world means nothing without the right team in place. When we look for people to work with us, we take time to find the best – compassionate, warm and naturally caring people who we know will look after our residents like their own family. Caring is a noble profession and we believe in looking after our teams. Many of the homes within Berkley Care Group have people who have followed a career path through the group – keeping the best people is so important which is why everyone at Badminton Place receives over the National Living Wage.

Leanne Terry

General Manager

I’m Leanne Terry, I’m originally from the North- East of England. My career started way back in 1999, when I joined the Royal Air Force and trained to be a Medic. During my service in the military my responsibilities were wide and varied at home and operationally and I was being collectively responsible for the health and well-being of over 1500 military personnel and their families. Having left the RAF to raise my family, I studied to be a Social Worker and graduated from Northumbria University with First Class (Hons) Degree. I worked in front line Child Protection before moving into Adult Social Care which ultimately led me to my present joy of managing nursing homes for the last 8 years. I absolutely love what I do and have a passion for delivering the best individual care and service for each and every one of our wonderful residents. I very much look forward to leading my team at Badminton Place and will always strive to achieve nothing short of excellence for our Badminton family.

Using technology in the care sector

At Badminton Place we understand the importance of person-centred care, delivered by people but we are also always looking to enhance our services by using the latest the digital world has to offer if it means that our residents benefit. From digital care planning to acoustic monitoring, we strive to be at the forefront of what the technology world has to offer in our sector.

Connecting people in care with their families

As we age, keeping in touch with those we love becomes more important. While our home is a hive of social activity, we understand the importance of staying in touch with loved ones – especially those who live some distance away. That is why we are always working on new ways to encourage that communication and make connecting with friends and family easier and more engaging. Follow us to keep abreast of new developments at Badminton Place.

Maintaining care home visits, safely and securely

The whole world has learned a lot of important lessons during 2020’s pandemic and we were among the first care companies to implement positive changes to enable life to carry on as normally as possible for our residents and their families. Chief among our new additions is our state-of-the-art care pod – a safe, secure and self-cleaning visitation room in the grounds of the care home in which residents can still meet with their friends and family. Find out more here.

Providing better care through Technology

From electronic care planning and acoustic monitoring, to high speed internet connection on demand TV, our care home always moves with the times if it’s for the benefit of our residents.

Being a part of the wider community

Our care home is situated in Cribbs Causeway, on the outskirts of Bristol, a unique city with a rich history and a strong leaning toward art and culture.

Enabling the residents of Badminton Place to engage with the local community and to enjoy the best of what the city and its surrounding countryside has to offer is a big part of what we do. By establishing community links with social groups, sports teams and religious institutions and interacting with them throughout the year, we ensure that Badminton Place is at the centre of its community.
